LIGHT UP THE NIGHT
These new collections of solar lamps from Maiori Design mean you’ll never be in the dark again.
With sustainability as the buzzword these days, including a solar lamp or two in any project is the responsible thing to do. La Lampe from Maiori Design, made with high performance materials, is as good as they come. Its latest collection is created in conjunction with Normal Studio and dubbed Couture. Available in three sizes, they mimic the shape of traditional Asian lanterns lit with a candle, so you’d expect them to float upwards at any point. It is made from Batyline Alphalia fabric, chosen for its tight mesh that maximises the LED’s capacity and produces a diffused light to enhance the volume of emitted light.
For something a bit more discreet, Maiori has created La Lampe Parabole. A sharp end means it can pierce the soil directly and hold its own in a garden. Its shade is made from powder coated aluminium, with four openings that throw La Lampe Parabole out the light even more. Height adjustable between 470cm and 590cm, it can provide up to five hours of light when fully charged up. A third series is La Lampe Pose. They are now available in three new unique colours (light taupe, café and mustard), and can reside indoors or out. Pose 01 and 02 have a more traditional form, with 03 and 04 have a block-like structure. 03 is wrapped with a technical fabric suited for the outdoors, while 04 (pictured above) is laser-cut with vertical lines.
